Welcome to our flower-filled world at The Gardens at Whitmer Woods! Meet the heart and soul behind our blossoming venture, Laura, and her husband, Kevin. As the proud owners of this floral haven, Laura and Kevin share a deep passion for working outdoors in God's creation, cultivating the vibrant gardens that grace our farm. Beyond the petals, they find joy in landscaping, hunting, cutting wood, and myriad other outdoor pursuits. Laura brings her teaching expertise to the mix, while Kevin, a Civil engineer, lends his precision to our garden endeavors. Family is at the core of their lives, and their free moments are cherished in the embrace of loved ones and the great outdoors. At The Gardens at Whitmer Woods, we believe in sowing seeds of hope not only in our gardens but also in the lives of young people facing challenges in impoverished communities. Through our initiative, Seeds of Hope International, we dedicate 10% of our profits to support the admirable mission of Good Shepherd's Fold (GSF) in Uganda. Seeds of Hope aims to restore communities by addressing issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, gang violence, sex trafficking/exploitation, child labor, and school dropout rates associated with poverty. Our focus is on equipping young individuals with life skills through transformative vocational, spiritual, and English classes. By offering a curriculum that fosters personal growth, we strive to provide these youth with new opportunities and a renewed sense of hope. At the heart of Seeds of Hope is our commitment to showing unconditional love to communities in need. Together, we're sowing the seeds of positive change and nurturing a future full of promise.
